I always get so many questions about the name of my company, so I'm going to touch on that first:

I've always wanted to be an artist. Even from an early age, my answer to any adult that asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up was the same. After high school I had always planned on pursuing a creative career path, but found myself drifting into the business world once I moved to Columbus, OH. While there, I obtained my bachelor's degree in Marketing from the Max. M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, I developed into a budding photographer and travel junkie. After graduation, I had planned on moving to St. Thomas, USVI to start a photography company on the island, but plans changed. I've been fortunate to have seen a good amount of success with my career and even though it has taken some time to get my business up and running, I have never let my dream die. If you ask any of my closest friends, they'll all tell you that I've been talking about starting my own photography company since my days at OSU. If I can give any advice to anyone reading this, it would be this: "Take life by the horns. If you want something, go out there and grab it. Don't wait for it to drift to you."

So, back to the company. My company needed a name. I had always wanted to incorporate my last name, but also needed a way to describe what it is that I do. I wanted a name that stuck with you. After a lot of brainstorming and thinking, it finally clicked. Many people always ask about the name, but I think Merriam Webster says it best:

stat·ic
Pronunciation: \'sta-tik\
Function: adjective

4 a : characterized by a lack of movement.

Static images. I love to find what resides in nature and our world and capture it in that perfect frozen moment. Each "static" image is only a fraction of our existence, but yet these images mean so much to me. I hope they mean something to you.
